I always have a dream that Africa will one day become visa free for all its citizens! For now, coming back to reality, how strong is the Kenyan passport really? This is a question I always ask myself.
Passport Index ranks passports of the world. It interestingly is the only real time global ranking of the world’s passports. It is normally updated frequently as new visa waivers and changes are announced and therefore the information in this post is based on the latest ranks by the Passport Index at the time of writing.
Ranking is based on the number of countries the holders can travel to without a visa and those that they can get a visa on arrival. Should there be a tie, the United Nations Development Programme Human Development Index (UNDP HDI ) is used as a tie breaker. It is a measure based on a country’s perception abroad.
